Monday, April 4听鈥 Cavanaugh Room in the Learning Resource Center (LRC), 5-6 p.m.听Open Support Group:听Support Groups offer the opportunity for friends and acquaintances of Kai to gather in a therapeutic group format to discuss and support one another in their shared loss.

Wednesday, April 6听鈥 Cavanaugh Room in the Learning Resource Center, 6-7:30 p.m. Community Connections:听This come and go event serves as an opportunity for Faculty/Staff and Students to gather and spend valuable time engaging with one another in solidarity and social support. Crafts, coloring, puzzles, games, and refreshments will be provided.听

Wednesday, April 6听鈥 A听book will be placed on the top floor of the Union where friends and acquaintances of Kai are invited to write a note for Kai鈥檚 family. The book will remain in the Union for one week, after which it will be given to Kai鈥檚 parents.听Also available with the book will be flowers representing the colors associated with suicide prevention awareness. Students and employees are encouraged to take a flower and place it at the foot of the commemorative cougar outside of the union in honor of suicide prevention and in remembrance of Kai.

March 28, 2022 Update
We want to make you aware that on Monday, the 28th of March, a student passed away in campus housing.听Our hearts break for the students鈥 family, friends, and those on campus who knew him. Our crisis team is doing what we can to respond to this event and support those affected.听听听
We know that this will affect many of you and ask that you treat each other with the utmost care, kindness and sensitivity during this time.
