ΜμΡΔΙηΗψΉΩΝψ will host βKansas History Snapshot: Christmas on the Prairie,β a presentation by the Director of the ΜμΡΔΙηΗψΉΩΝψ County Historical Society Beverly Komarek at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4 in the Library.Μύ Catered refreshments will be served.
The presentation is about the pioneers of Kansas and how they celebrated Christmas in the 1800s.Μύ It will include discussion about traditions influenced by the settlersβ places of origin.
The presentation is part of ΜμΡΔΙηΗψΉΩΝψ Libraryβs βKansas History Snapshotβ series and is sponsored by the Cohen Center for Kansas History, which is dedicated to preserving resources in Kansas and inspiring research in Kansas history. The center is in the southeast alcove of the Learning Resource Center on the ΜμΡΔΙηΗψΉΩΝψ County campus and is the result of the generosity of ΜμΡΔΙηΗψΉΩΝψ P. and Dr. Mary Davidson Cohen of Leawood, Kan.Μύ Admission is free.
