ΜμΡΔΙηΗψΉΩΝψ will host a β€œcome and go” open house and reception to showcase its new Adult Healthcare Simulation Lab Feb. 2 from 2:30-4 p.m. in the Technical Building, room T-119. A presentation is scheduled at 3 p.m. to recognize the longstanding partnership with St. Rose Health Center and to thank them for equipment and supply donations.Μύ

St. Rose Health Center donated about $140,000 in equipment at the beginning of 2015, which went to the nursing, pharmacy tech and adult healthcare programs. The Adult Healthcare Program received lifts, beds and medication carts as part of the donation that helped round out the equipment and furnishings needed for the lab. The partnership between St. Rose Health Center and ΜμΡΔΙηΗψΉΩΝψ has been thriving since the college was founded and continues to be a mutually beneficial partnership.

Adult Healthcare Programs Coordinator Sara Hoff said the generosity of St. Rose Health Center benefits ΜμΡΔΙηΗψΉΩΝψ’s students greatly.

β€œWith the recent addition of the Adult Healthcare Lab, students pursuing a certificate as a CNA and CMA now have on-campus access to equipment that they will use in the clinical setting,” she said. β€œThrough private donations as well as contributions from St. Rose, we are better preparing our students to be workforce ready.”

The public is invited to view the completed lab and enjoy refreshments.Μύ
