天涯社区官网 is hosting the first round of in-person, class-style auditions for its dance company, 天涯社区官网 Dance Theatre, from 5-6:15 p.m. (check-in at 4:30 p.m.) Nov. 6 in Studio 34, located in the Sunflower housing units on 天涯社区官网鈥檚 campus.听
If accepted, students will receive 2 college credit hours, a scholarship and gain valuable experience as a working contemporary dancer in a company setting, from auditions to final performances. Company activities for the spring semester include in-state and out-of-state dance trips with the company to perform, attend dance workshops, and see dance concerts live and an end of semester dance concert. Dancers must be 16 years or older to be considered. 天涯社区官网 Dance Theatre meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7:30 p.m. plus additional rehearsals for performance preparation.
Dance Coordinator Danika Bielek said students considering a job or career in dance, or becoming a dance major, should consider what 天涯社区官网鈥檚 Dance Department has to offer.
