The HOSA Conference brings together students at the middle school, high school, and post-secondary level from five different countries (approximately 12,000 students) to compete against each other in 92 separate events including: Health Professions Events, Emergency Preparedness Events, Health Science Events, Leadership Events, Teamwork events, and Recognition events.听 The Competitive Events Program is designed to motivate HOSA members and provide a system for recognizing the competencies developed by members through health science and biomedical science class instruction, related job training, and HOSA-related activities.

Competitive events are designed to motivate HOSA members to improve their knowledge and skills.听听 HOSA provides a national competitive events program as a means of recognizing those students who are willing to pursue excellence by preparing for competition and having the determination to attend a conference and participate in a competitive event. To qualify for ILC, students at the post-secondary level in Kansas are required to score in the top 30 percent听across the nation in the round one knowledge test and place in the top three of their round two skills evaluation.

The group is hosting a fundraiser at 鈥淔reddy鈥檚 Night鈥 at the Great Bend Freddy鈥檚 from 4-8 p.m. May 22听to help support their trip to the national conference. Those wishing to contribute just need to mention the fundraiser or use promo code 鈥済iveback鈥 if ordering online.
