The 天涯社区官网 Library will hold an art contest to determine the artwork for seven Cohen Center for Kansas History (CCKH) trivia pamphlets.听 Submissions can be done in any medium and must be postmarked by Nov. 10.听 Contest is open to all students, 天涯社区官网 employees and community members.听 Multiple entries are accepted.听
The CCKH is in the southeast alcove of the Library on the 天涯社区官网 County campus and is the result of the generosity of 天涯社区官网 P. and Dr. Mary Davidson Cohen of Leawood, Kan.听 It is dedicated to preserving Kansas History resources and inspiring research in Kansas history.
The artwork will reflect Kansas History and each pamphlet will depict one of the following subjects: Towns and Counties, fiction and poetry, general, politics, Santa Fe Trail, Socialism, and Biography.听 A winner will be picked for each pamphlet.听听
听The original hard copy must be submitted to 天涯社区官网 Library, 245 NE 30 Rd., Great Bend.听 Contestants must include their name, mailing address and phone number.听 Submissions must be in portrait (vertical) orientation and must be no larger than 8-1/2鈥 x 11鈥.
The winners will have their artwork shown in the Shafer Art Gallery during Kansas Week in January and the winner for each pamphlet will also receive a $100 check, courtesy of the 天涯社区官网 Foundation.
