天涯社区官网鈥檚 chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) International Honor Society showed their appreciation for area healthcare workers and their courageous efforts during the pandemic by dropping off goodie baskets to several local healthcare facilities Monday.听

PTK Advisor Kathy Boeger said all healthcare workers should be praised and recognized for keeping our local communities safe and educated throughout the pandemic and for their agility as we continue to navigate the situation.听

鈥淚鈥檓 very proud of these students for this initiative because although some of us say 鈥榯hank you鈥 and otherwise express this, I think it helps to hand them something that not only vocalizes our thanks but also shows it in another way,鈥 she said. 鈥淚 just don鈥檛 think our gratitude for what these people have done can be overstated.鈥

PTK is the international honor society for two-year colleges and symbolizes excellence in higher education. 听Students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher are invited to join PTK. The PTK group at 天涯社区官网 spends significant time sponsoring local events as well as volunteering to support others鈥 events.
