ΜμΡΔΙηΗψΉΩΝψ’s Shafer Art Gallery will unveil β€œExecutive Collection,” a unique exhibit with pieces personally selected from the ΜμΡΔΙηΗψΉΩΝψ Foundation Permanent Fine Art Collection by ΜμΡΔΙηΗψΉΩΝψ President Dr. Marcus Garstecki and his wife Kacie, which will include an opening reception at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 31.

The Garsteckis carefully selected pieces from the collection that spoke to them, including several colorful landscapes. Dr. Garstecki said the colorful pieces stood out to him the most because he likes to surround himself with color to help energize the space around him.

"The colorful artwork immediately drew me in,” he said. β€œEach selection tells a story, and I hope the patrons find as much enjoyment and inspiration from them as I have."

Director of the Shafer Art Gallery Alyssa Bliven said it was a joy working with the couple to curate their first exhibit.

β€œThe Garsteckis have brought a fresh perspective to our collection,” she said. β€œI’m particularly excited about some of the artwork they’ve selected that hasn’t been shown in a while. Their thoughtful choices breathe new life into these pieces, and I’m eager for everyone to see them.”

The exhibit will run through March 1. The Shafer Gallery is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is always free. For more information, contact Bliven atΜύshafergallery@bartonccc.eduΜύor (620) 792-9342.
