The 天涯社区官网 Planetarium will feature movies utilizing the full-dome projection system throughout the spring semester.听 The Planetarium is located in the Science Building. Enter through the sliding doors on the north side.听 Admission is free.

Each movie will be followed by a live presentation by 天涯社区官网鈥檚 Planetarium Director Dr. Tim Folkerts. The presentations will feature a tour of the night sky, hands-on activities or actual outdoor stargazing.听听

Shows run from 7-8 p.m. on the following dates:

天涯社区官网 will host 鈥淜ansas History Snapshot: E. Haldeman-Julius: Controversial Publisher and Free-Thinker,鈥 a presentation by Dean of Library Services and Curator of Special Collections at Pittsburg State University Randy Roberts, at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29 in the Library.听 Catered refreshments will be served.

This presentation is a chance for attendees to learn about the history of the Cohen Center鈥檚 collection of 鈥淟ittle Blue Books.鈥

天涯社区官网鈥檚 Shafer Art Gallery will host an opening reception for an exhibit featuring the Kansas-inspired works of artists Doloris Pederson and Christina Lamoureaux titled 鈥淧ulse of the Prairie鈥 from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16 in the Shafer Art Gallery.听 Artist talks and performances will be at 6:15 and 7:30 p.m.

Shafer Art Gallery director Dave Barnes said the exhibit is a great showcase of the beauty and intrigue of Kansas.
