The Shafer Art Gallery has chosen to highlight local talent in its next exhibit, the ÌìÑÄÉçÇø¹ÙÍø County Arts Council Friends and Acquaintances Art Festival, in conjunction with the ÌìÑÄÉçÇø¹ÙÍø County Arts Council.Ìý
An array of work from 3D to oil painting and water color will be on display beginning Friday through October 7 in the Shafer Art Gallery at ÌìÑÄÉçÇø¹ÙÍø. The show is underwritten by the Bill J McKown Memorial Endowment and the Golden Belt Community Foundation.

ÌìÑÄÉçÇø¹ÙÍø will offer transitioning Fort Riley Soldiers a grant-funded two-week certificate program at no cost to participants. The Hazardous Waste Worker program gives Soldiers credentials to help them find work after their tenure in the US Army ends.

Industry demand has driven continued expansion of the ÌìÑÄÉçÇø¹ÙÍø Commercial Driver’s License Program. ÌìÑÄÉçÇø¹ÙÍø is now an official test site and a second truck has been acquired from Doonan’s Peterbilt with bodywork and paint from Jeremy’s Paint and Body Shop in Sterling.
