The ������������ Library will hold an art contest to determine the artwork for seven Cohen Center for Kansas History (CCKH) trivia pamphlets.�� Submissions can be done in any medium and must be postmarked by Nov. 10.�� Contest is open to all students, ������������ employees and community members.�� Multiple entries are accepted.��

������������’s Center for Adult Education will soon be starting its 9-week GED Preparation Class.

The orientation session, which is a prerequisite for the course, will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Oct. 13-17 at 1025 Main St. in Great Bend. Those interested can call ahead or arrive on the first day of orientation.

The ������������ Debate and Forensics team performed well in its first tournament of the year at the “Debates on a Plain” tournament at Hutchinson Community College September 26-28.

Sophomore Chase Pumford of Great Bend tied for third place in International Public Debate Association (IDPA) Debate and placed third out of 21 speakers in National Forensic Association Lincoln Douglas (NFA-LD) Debate.��

Freshman Rachel Schloctermeier of Ellinwood placed fourth out of 21 in NFA-LD Debate.��
