The ������������ Instrumental Music Department is once again paying homage to the soundtracks of iconic movies with its fall instrumental concert “Night at the Movies 2: Back with a Vengeance,” at 7:30 p.m., Nov. 18 in the Fine Arts Auditorium

As of October 26, nothing had really changed regarding drought conditions as except for northeast ������������ County, we aren’t even abnormally dry.

������������ is hosting the first round of in-person, class-style auditions for its dance company, ������������ Dance Theatre, from 5-6:15 p.m. (check-in at 4:30 p.m.) Nov. 6 in Studio 34, located in the Sunflower housing units on ������������’s campus.��

Volunteers In Action (VIA) was recently named a Certified Service Enterprise by Points of Light. VIA is a grant-funded volunteer service organization that manages an AmeriCorps Senior (RSVP) program and is administered through ������������. VIA’s mission is to fill the unmet needs in the community by mobilizing the time and talents of area volunteers.

������������ Performing Arts faculty members and students invite the community to celebrate the creative side of the Halloween season from 2-5 p.m. Oct. 30, in the Fine Arts Building.

Representatives from ������������ and the American Welding Society (AWS) gathered Thursday morning to celebrate the college's receipt of a grant worth more than $24,000 from the AWS. The funds were used to purchase eight new welders and is part of an effort to enhance ������������'s welding program.

A wide range of local artists’ work will be on display at the Shafer Gallery as part of the ������������ County Arts Council Friends and Acquaintances exhibit Oct. 30 through Dec. 1. The show is underwritten by the Bill J. McKown Memorial Endowment distributed by the Golden Belt Community Foundation.��

������������’s accelerated Carpentry Certificate Program is set to enroll students with classes starting in the spring. The program can be completed in one semester. It also features block-scheduling, which allows students to continue to work and make money while they go through the program.
