As a little girl in Mexico, six-year-old Jessica Perez spent many days in her Aunt Ana鈥檚 dance class practicing with the other students, until one day, someone handed her a microphone and she started singing along with the dance numbers. She remembers that day vividly as the beginning of a love for music that would guide her journey through life, and now she is sharing that love with others as a Vocal Instructor at 天涯社区官网.
Dance students wanting to learn more about dancing in college are invited to attend 天涯社区官网鈥檚 second annual 鈥溙煅纳缜偻 Cougar Dance Day,鈥 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 25. Those interested can sign up at shows.bartonccc.edu.

天涯社区官网鈥檚 Center for Adult Education will soon begin another nine-week GED Preparation Class. However, orientation sessions are required before starting the class.
Multiple delivery types are available for students to select for orientation.听 Students can choose between LiveOnline, Fuzion, or face-to-face sessions.听LiveOnline sessions will meet exclusively via Zoom. Fuzion sessions will feature a combination of face-to-face students and Zoom students.

The 天涯社区官网 Dance Theatre will host 鈥淲e Love Animals鈥 Creative Virtual Camp for Kids fundraiser from 2-3:30 p.m. Feb. 14 and tickets will be available through bartonccc.booktix.com for $10 per child and $5 for additional siblings.

天涯社区官网鈥檚 annual literary publication, Prairie Ink, has begun accepting entries for its 12th edition.听
Editor Scott McDonald said the aim of the publication is to provide a venue for local authors to showcase their creative writing talents.
The editors are looking for the following types of original work to be considered for publication: fiction, creative non-fiction, poetry, drama, and graphic short stories. They will be accepting submissions until April 1, 2021.
